The Foundation: Building a Data-Driven Culture 


The journey of innovation at Reiz Tech began with a fundamental shift towards a data-driven culture. Recognizing that "without data, you're just another person with an opinion," we embarked on a mission to embed data into the core of our operations. This transformation started with process automation, which laid the groundwork for making data-driven decisions across the organization. 


We understood early on that for data to be truly impactful, it had to be accessible and actionable. This led to the creation of a Data Lake that centralized our data sources, allowing various business units to take ownership and maintain the quality of their data. By integrating tools like PowerApps and Power BI, we automated reporting processes, enabling our teams to focus on data discovery and ad-hoc analysis rather than routine tasks.

To fully leverage our data, we prioritized broad data literacy across the company. This involved not only providing access to data but also ensuring that our teams were equipped with the skills to interpret and act on it. We implemented a clearly established KPI scorecard that motivates and drives strategic actions, aligning every decision with our overarching goals. 


Strong data leadership has been central to this transformation. Our management team recognized data as a strategic asset and championed the transition to a data-driven organization. This commitment ensured that decisions across the company were informed by data insights, embedding a culture where data-driven decision-making is the norm, not the exception.

As we matured in our data-driven journey, we progressed through multiple levels of data usage within the organization: 


  1. Standard Reports. Initially, our focus was on automating standard reports to ensure consistency and reliability. 

  2. Ad Hoc Reports. We then moved towards enabling teams to generate ad hoc reports, giving them the flexibility to explore data as needed. 

  3. Drill-Down Analysis. Our data tools evolved to allow for more sophisticated drill-down analysis, providing deeper insights into business performance. 

  4. Predictive Models. Today, we use advanced predictive data models and forecasting techniques, optimizing our processes and anticipating future trends. 


This progression has not only improved our internal efficiencies but has also fueled our innovation efforts, allowing us to develop products like talent development platform supported by AI Skillit and respond effectively to market demands.
